March Online Store Update!

I am 4 months out and things are starting to get less stressful but more expensive LOL. I had a budget of $600 for startup, but that has changed to $1000. This is mainly because I didn’t have an office space and I really needed at least a desk and chair. Busting through my budget ceiling with office furniture isn’t the only thing I’ve done over the past 8 months though. 

So far, I’ve purchased all of my starting inventory. I plan to take a trip to the Atlanta Market, LA Fashion District, and Magic soon. I’ve been preparing for my site by writing product descriptions, content pages like return policy etc., and taking product photos. I’ve also been purchasing packaging and office supplies. 

The biggest lesson I learned over the past few months is to set realistic expectations. I feel like my initial budget was pretty realistic and really who says what’s realistic, but I didn’t take into consideration how important and necessary it would be for me to have a dedicated work space.
